We call on Trenton Public Schools, the Trenton Board of Education, and City of Trenton, Mercer County, and State leaders to take immediate action to restore and protect funding and reverse these unjust and harmful cuts to Millhill.
Funding cuts to Millhill will:
- Disrupt young children’s learning and deny them a strong educational foundation at a proven, high-quality program.
- Harm working families by reducing access to reliable, full-day preschool
- Eliminate critical supports, including before and after care, nutrition, and mental and behavioral health services
- Create new barriers for families who have relied on Millhill for over 55 years
- Increase absenteeism by forcing children into less stable care arrangements
We demand that funding be restored without delay and that Milllhill’s Early Childhood Education program be fully protected so every child has the opportunity to learn, grow, and succeed.
