Giving Hope Network Awards Grant to Millhill Child & Family Development for Trenton Area Stakeholders
TRENTON, NJ (September 14, 2015) – Giving Hope Network recently awarded $5,000 to Millhill Child & Family Development to support the Trenton Area Stakeholders (TAS). The grant will help Millhill continue to steward the Trenton Area Stakeholders, a network of community leaders that work together to create meaningful collaborations and partnerships.
“We are thrilled to expand our partnership with Giving Hope Network,” explains Cynthia Oberkofler, Executive Director. “Their strategic leadership over the years has been an invaluable resource for TAS and its membership.”
Millhill’s Trenton Area Stakeholders is comprised of more than 600 members primarily of leaders from organizations and individuals throughout Mercer County that provide an array of services to or are committed to improving the lives of underserved children and families. The Trenton Area Stakeholders meet six times a year at various locations.
The initiative is designed to provide a platform to spark collaboration among individuals and organizations involved in strengthening Trenton. Rider University’s Minding Our Business and Millhill’s Trenton PEERS were originally conceived through Trenton Area Stakeholders. Most recently, the Trenton Area Stakeholders formed a task force to address workforce development.
Giving Hope Network is a New Jersey-based organization with a mission to develop shared solutions for large, complex societal challenges by inspiring and mobilizing passionate and capable communities committed to making a big difference in people’s lives.
