Throughout the program, we invite guest speakers to provide insights into various industries and share their professional experiences. Our participants also have access to employment opportunities and are introduced to various job openings that align with their interests and goals.
We understand the importance of soft skills in the workforce, which is why we emphasize their development during the program. Our team works closely with students to enhance their communication skills, teamwork, leadership, time management, and problem-solving skills.
The program also focuses on workplace development and life skills training, which includes resume writing, job search strategies, financial literacy, and other essential skills that prepare students for their future careers.
In addition, our program offers enrichment trips that provide participants with an opportunity to experience different career paths and gain exposure to various industries. These trips help students explore different career options and give them a better understanding of what it takes to succeed in different professions.
The Mayor’s Youth Workforce & Career Training Program is an excellent opportunity for high school students to develop their professional skills, gain real-world work experience, and explore different career paths. By emphasizing the development of soft skills, workplace development, and life skills training, we prepare our participants for their future careers and help them achieve their goals.

Funders
We could not do this work without the support from our generous funders. As we all face the unique challenges presented by COVID-19, these supporters ensured that we are able to continue youth summer programming for the sixth consecutive year!
