Millhill Child & Family Development receives grant from Investors Foundation to Support the Trenton PEERS Program

Millhill Child & Family Development (Millhill) recently received a $500 grant from Investors Foundation. The grant will help further Millhill’s mission of to help children, youth, and families in Trenton improve their quality of life by supporting the Trenton PEERS (Performing, Educating, and Engaging about Responsible Strategies) Program.

“We are grateful for Investors Foundation’s continued support of Millhill over the years,  and their commitment to investing in Millhill’s youth programming,” says Executive Director Cynthia Oberkofler, “With Investor Foundation support, our PEERS program continues to empower Trenton teenagers to become mentors within their community..”

The Trenton PEERS is a teen peer education, college preparation, leadership development, and supportive social network for youth ages 14-18. The PEER Educators develop and present workshops on topics such as gang awareness, anti-bullying, anger management, self-esteem, and mental health to over 2,000 community members yearly. Serving as educators and role models through their workshops they engage audience members in discussions on issues facing youth to encourage making positive decisions.
