Millhill to Honor Bank of America at Anniversary Celebration
Trenton, NJ—Although the pandemic temporarily postponed the festivities, Millhill Child & Family Development is thrilled to announce that their in-person 50th Anniversary Celebration will take place on Thursday, October 20, 2022, at the Mercer County Boathouse.
Millhill Child & Family Development is a non-profit organization dedicated to empowering children and families with culturally sensitive educational and behavioral health services. And while this is a time for the organization to reflect on all its accomplishments over the past half-century, it is also a time to honor those who have helped to make those accomplishments possible.
Bank of America’s generous investment in Millhill has significantly impacted the Center’s ability to provide high-quality mental health resources to the Greater Trenton community. In 2020, in response to the COVID-19 pandemic, Bank of America provided bridge funding to support Millhill’s teletherapy services, which allowed critical behavioral health services to continue remotely for individual, family, and group sessions. Also in 2020, Millhill was recognized as one of the Bank of America Neighborhood Builders® awardees.
“Millhill has a demonstrated record of empowering children and families across Mercer County through multi-faceted educational and behavioral health services,” said Alberto Garofalo, president, Bank of America New Jersey. “We are proud to support Millhill in their tireless work to improve quality of life in greater Trenton.”
In addition to honoring Bank of America for its commitment to the welfare of the community, the organization will also recognize Cynthia Oberkofler, Executive Director of Millhill’s, who has announced her retirement effective December 31.
Millhill’s 50th Anniversary Celebration will be held at the Mercer County Boathouse, Mercer County Park between 5:00 pm—9:30 pm. To purchase tickets, visit Millhill.org/50th-celebration. The 50th Anniversary Celebration also offers opportunities to support Millhill with various sponsorship levels that patrons and business owners can participate in. Sponsorship levels can be reviewed online at www.millhillcenter.org/50th-celebration.
