Millhill Child & Family Development Celebrates 45 Years of Service in Trenton
MISSION POSSIBLE XII Benefit held March 18 Honoring Joe LaRosa, Community Honoree and Wells Fargo, Corporate Honoree
TRENTON, NJ (March 27, 2017) – Millhill Child & Family Development held its twelfth annual MISSION POSSIBLE, a celebration to benefit children and families in Greater Trenton, March 18 at Rider University with almost 200 attendees. This year’s event celebrated 45 years of Millhill’s service to Trenton and honored Joe LaRosa, Chair, Millhill Corporate Board as the Community Honoree and Wells Fargo as the Corporate Honoree for their commitment to Trenton and Millhill.
The event was sponsored by HM Royal, PNC, Wells Fargo, Borden Perlman, CEI Group, ETS, Harrison- Hamnett, P.C., TayganPoint, Saphire+Albarran, Stark & Stark and Hutchinson. Proceeds from the event directly supported Millhill’s educational, counseling, and family support services.
“Millhill is grateful for the dedication of Joe LaRosa and Wells Fargo and all our supporters and volunteers who invest in our mission to empower children and families,” states Cynthia H. Oberkofler, Executive Director.
Joe LaRosa, CPA, champion for children and families, served as the Chair of Millhill’s Corporate Board for six years. Under his leadership Millhill opened a counseling center and expanded behavioral health and health literacy services to the community. During his eight years of service on the Millhill board he held leadership roles including Treasurer and Vice President.
Wells Fargo & Company is a diversified, community-based financial services company with $1.9 trillion in assets. The Wells Fargo Foundation supports Millhill’s Health Literacy program that educates children and families so that they may lead healthier lives. Wells employees support Millhill by participating in a Volunteer Day of Caring where they spend time reading and playing with children and provide books and school supplies that they have collected.
The evening consisted of casino games, dinner, live and silent auctions, raffle and featured the Trenton PEERS, a teen leadership and mentoring peer to peer program.
