TRENTON — The Horizon Foundation for New Jersey awarded Millhill Child & Family Development $16,000 in support of Millhill’s Springboard Health Literacy program. The program provides training and tools to help families improve their health.
“Millhill is so grateful for organizations such as The Horizon Foundation for New Jersey who enable us to integrate such a crucial piece of education about overall health and well-being into our everyday programming,” said Tamara Noizy, Millhill Child & Family Development’s Director of Family Support Services.
Through Springboard, Millhill will formalize and enhance previous health literacy endeavors by providing practical, easy-to-implement tools clients can use to overcome common barriers and proactively boost their health and healthcare behaviors, choices and activities.
One of our priorities is to ensure that health information is easy to understand and that health education is accessible to all New Jersey residents,” said Jonathan R. Pearson, Executive Director of The Horizon Foundation for New Jersey. “We are pleased to support Millhill and its efforts to bring health literacy to the communities it serves.”
