Investing in Future Leaders
What does investing in potential really look like? It looks like a middle schooler walking into our summer STEM Explorers program as a hesitant teenager – and walking out a leader.
This is Abraham’s story. He arrived at Millhill uncertain and withdrawn, but by the week’s end, he was leading activities and helping other struggling campers discover their own potential.
Abraham’s journey began 11 years earlier as a preschooler at Millhill, in the same classroom where his younger brother Abu now sits. This fall, Abraham started high school with confidence and was accepted into our Trenton PEERS program.
Investing in potential means walking alongside families through every stage – from early education to high school graduation, from family and individual counseling support to college readiness.
Today, Abraham is planning for college. He’s become a confident and outspoken leader, developing strong public speaking skills and gaining clarity on his future goals through the Trenton PEERS program. Check out the video from his recent STEM experience to see Abraham in action.
Abu is thriving in pre-K, following in his big brother’s footsteps. His other siblings Lucen and Amara are gearing up to join our Trenton PEERS and STEM program. Their family is stronger.
